Home ownership is certainly the least thing that college students consider. This is due to the fact that it is a serious commitment and they think they are not yet ready. Still, a number of them are considering such option. Paying a mortgage is less costly than paying rent especially in case you purchase it as a group. You will not only have more space, but you will have more freedom also. You do not need to worry about communal walls and landlords.

However, a down payment on the property and having a good credit are needed for home ownership. They have to handle upkeep and repairs. It is not always a sure prospect to sell the home. This means they could possibly lose money. Many college students may not be ready for home ownership because it is a huge commitment.
